Specialist services include: Antenatal care from booking or can transfer in at 36 weeks; 1:1 midwife support; birth pools; 24 hour telephone support; if required transfer to Newham Hospital services.

Birth Centre
The Barking Birth Centre has four birthing rooms with ensuite bathrooms and birthing pools.
Facilities include: bean bags; birth balls; birth mats; birthing stools; one stop clinic; bookings; scans; antenatal classes; antenatal and postnatal clinics.
You can self-refer by attending an antenatal clinic and completing a form.
Delivery Suite
Home birth services are available for women who live in the Newham Hospital area. There is a dedicated home birth team of four midwives called ‘The Sunshine Team’ who will take over your care once you decide to have a homebirth and will be there when you go into labour.
