We provide maternity care for around 5,000 mothers and their babies every year. Our maternity services are provided at both the Epsom and St Helier hospitals.
Both hospitals have inpatient antenatal (during pregnancy) and postnatal (after the birth) facilities along with midwifery-led birth centre and obstetric-led labour wards.
Specialist services include:
- Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU)
- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
- Fetal medicine including sickle cell service
- Specialist help for women with HIV
- Specialist support for women with Mental Health issues
- Specialist diabetic service
- Maternal medicine service : heart disease, renal, raised BMI support
- Clinic for women with a history of a previous loss
- Support for women who have had Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
- Teenage pregnancy clinics
- ECV breech service
The hospital has dedicated patient and visitor parking. Parking fees apply. Concession parking is also available for those meeting the criteria. Parking bays are available for blue badge holders

Birth Centre
The Birth Centre has four birthing rooms and three birthing pools
Facilities include:
Private rooms are available at a cost of £175 for an ensuite room and £125 without an ensuite.
Delivery Suite
The Delivery Suite has 8 delivery rooms, 4 of which are ensuite and 2 obstetric operating theatres
Facilities include: 3 bedded recovery areas, high dependence unit area 3 rooms
